Labour/Tory deal sets tax increase in Calderdale

LAB/CON DEAL SETS TAX INCREASE

In May last year the Labour group on Calderdale Council voted for the Tories to take all the places on the powerful Cabinet. They said this was a one-off deal. In October they did it again. Now Labour have voted with the Tories to set the coming year’s budget and Council Tax rise of nearly 5%.

Labour negotiated so hard that their votes were bought for changes to the Tory budget that add up to ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in the coming year.

A Liberal Democrat Spokesperson said: “There can now be no doubt in anyone’s mind that there is a Lab/Con pact running our council – and running it badly. No wonder the council has now dropped in the government’s improvement rating”.

The Labour Party are bunch of charlatans - top to bottom. At least the Tories can be trusted to empty your pockets and cut your services.

You would think them the opposition to the Tories from what they put through my letterbox.
They’re even behind the bnp in my area.
