Calder Valley’s Labour MP, Chris McCafferty, last night joined Lib Dem MPs in opposing the immediate renewal of the Trident nuclear weapons system.
Chris McCafferty was one of 95 MPs who rebelled against the Labour government plans.
A Tory/Labour pact of 409 MPs ensured that the Labour plans for renewal of Trident were passed.
